Children often do not know how to express about their eyesight or if they are experiencing eye discomfort. Commonly, parents or care takers are the first to notice that their child may have difficulties with their vision by observing the way their child carrying out daily activities at home or in school. As we know, early intervention is crucial as poor vision can deter the child’s interest to learn and explore, therefore, it is important to determine any uncorrected refractive error which may leads to amblyopia (lazy eyes), eye muscle imbalance or any other issue pertaining to eye health of a child.

Optometry is a health care profession that involves examining the eyes and visual systems to understand your overall eye health. Optometrist assesses and determine on eyes condition such as detection of refractive errors, eye injury, and infection or eye diseases, prescribe spectacles or contact lenses.
