Psychology is the study of the mind and behavior. It embraces all aspects of the human experience —from child development to care for the aged, and from the functions of the brain to the actions of nations. In every possible settings, the fundamental of psychology is to understand human’s mind, feeling, and behavior. Clinical psychology is the psychological specialty that provides continuing and comprehensive mental and behavioral health care for individuals and families; training, education and supervision; and research-based practice.

Clinical psychologist assesses, diagnoses, and intervenes to assist child to obtain their optimum abilities, as well as guiding parents to help the child. Clinical psychologist assesses a child’s condition through few approaches such as diagnostic interviewing with parents/ care givers, school reports, behavioral assessment, administration and interpretation of psychological testing. An intervention plan will be planned and carried out based on child’s condition and needs.

Clinical Psychologist sees a child who:

  • Shows sign and symptoms of neurodevelopmental disorders (e.g.: Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Intellectual Disorder, etc.)
  • Shows behavior concerns
  • Experiencing emotional disturbances
  • Experiencing learning difficulties
